The Aimee's Babies Developmental DVD provides an abundance
of information to new parents who want to give their baby the best start
possible in life. Babies learn about the world from their senses.
This sensory-based 60-minute DVD is divided into seven segments: one segment
for each of the senses below, plus an additional segment with detailed
baby massage instructions. Your new baby will take in a tremendous
amount of information through her senses during her first year of life.
In fact, if a baby's senses are adequately stimulated, the weight of his
brain actually DOUBLES by the end of the first year!
Touch/Massage
This segment explains why the sense of touch is so important.
It includes baby "stretches" that improve overall coordination and agility,
and techniques to improve body awareness, spatial skills, and sensory processing.
Also included in this segment are complete, detailed, easy-to-follow instructions
on the safe techniques of infant and baby massage. At the end of
the DVD is a separate 5-minute Baby Massage summary segment, which can
be viewed in real time while you massage your baby. The drumming
music during the massage mimics the sounds of utero and helps to relax
your baby.

Vision
During this crucial period of visual development, learn how to help
your baby develop visual acuity (clear sight), as well as visual motor
skills (eye movements), with structured exercises that will help make her
a better reader in the future for better performance in school.
Hearing
Babies are born with a very acute sense of hearing. Learn how to use
this sense to optimize your baby's brain development and lifetime learning
potential.
Balance/Movement
A finely-tuned sense of balance will help your baby sit, crawl, and
walk. In the future, it will help him have better overall coordination
skills to become a better athlete, dancer, and gymnast. Learn exercises
and tips to stimulate your baby's inner ear and build a strong foundation
of balance.
Position in Space
An infant has no idea whether she is right-side-up or upside-down.
He doesn't know where his body stops and where Mommy's body starts.
Position in space is a learned skill, which you can promote in your baby
by using the exercises in this segment.
Taste and Smell
Scents can actually improve your baby's brain function and help your
baby be more relaxed or more alert. Different foods can help your
baby's speech development. Learn more in this segment on taste and
smell.
